Meet the Teachers

Meet some of the passionate educators who bring Fusha Immersive to your children!

Nisreen Sarmini

Curriculum Consultant

I come from a Syrian background, was raised in Saudi Arabia, and started my family in North America where I now call home. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies and have years of experience as a certified Montessori educator—working with infants, toddlers, and lower elementary students across both the U.S. and Canada.

My passion lies in introducing Islam to young children in a gentle, natural way, and in supporting parents through meaningful, faith-based parenting resources. Through my work I have developed courses for Islamic parenting and overcoming challenging environments in this space.

In recent years, I've been focused on creating a series of thematic Islamic education programs for early childhood, with a special emphasis on the second pillar of Islam (Salat).

Umaiyah Habib

Teacher

Assalamu Alaikum! I'm Umaiyah, a Syrian-Canadian mom of two, raised in the UAE in a home that deeply valued the Arabic language. My mother was an Arabic teacher, and she passed on to me a strong love and foundation in Fus-ha Arabic from an early age.

With a background in IT Multimedia and graphic design, I now bring creativity into teaching Arabic through stories, play, and hands-on activities. I love teaching children Fus-ha, helping them connect with Arabic in a fun and meaningful way.

I truly believe that when kids feel the language, they love it, and when they love it, they hold onto it for life.

I'm so excited to be part of your family's journey in nurturing a strong Arabic and Islamic identity.

Doah Zabadneh

Teacher

Salam I'm Doah! Fun fact — I was born in Chicago, but my parents packed us up and moved to Syria so my siblings and I could properly learn Arabic (and yes, it worked!). I came back to the U.S. at 16 and have been teaching Arabic to kids ever since.

When I'm not in the classroom, I'm a sonography student and a busy mom of two beautiful boys who are also learning Arabic. Can't wait to learn, laugh, and grow with your kids, insha'Allah!.

Nour Zabadneh

Teacher

I'm Nour, and I hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Since 2015, I've been teaching Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Quran with tajweed and basic tafseer. I've worked with children ages 3 to 15 in weekend schools and summer camps, using creative and engaging methods to make learning meaningful and fun.

I also create Arabic educational content for young children on my YouTube channel "Arabic Roots جذوري العربية," where I blend play, stories, and routines to support language learning at home.

Fun Fact: I'm a lovable teacher during class time, and an unbeatable soccer player at recess time!
